It is with great pleasure that the Benaki Museum Shop presents the #ProjectYFASMA which will be hosted for the first time at the building of Pireos St. 138.

Our new collection, through the plasticity of its elements, highlights the simplicity and asymmetry of nature.

Terrazzo traces its roots back to Ancient Egyptian mosaics. A more decorative approach is found in the practice of 15th century Venetian masons who developed a new method of floor-making that was substantially less costly than laying marble, as it used fragments of marble waste from the quarries.  

Stainless steel is an alloy of iron, carbon and chromium. The small percentage of chromium in the alloy helps protect the metal from oxidization and corrosion. Since the beginning of the twentieth century it has been used extensively in industry as a highly resilient and extremely durable material that is also 100% recyclable.

The Benaki Museum Shop is proud to present the third chapter of #ProjectPIATO! This year artists and designers decorated exclusively for the Benaki Museum a limited edition collection of ceramic plates bursting with colour, inspiration and creativity.

The natural world is a source of inspiration for us. Through our lifestyle and work we take care to be as close to it as possible, while inflicting the least possible harm on it, although living in the city does not make this easy.
